| Directions | From Annapolis, take Route 2 (Governor Ritchie Highway) north and turn right onto Magothy Bridge Road. Turn right onto Beachwood Drive and look for a gate, which denotes the entrance to the park. Beachwood Park is located on the Magothy River to the east of Lake Waterford. Parking is on Beachwood Drive along the wooden guardrail. Care is needed carrying your canoe or kayak to the waters edge as the slope is quite steep. The closest launch location is 621 feet or 0.12 mile from the parking area. The path is straight leading towards the water. |

| Comments | Park hours are 7:00 a.m. to dusk. This site does not permit swimming, camping, trailers, alcohol, fires or overnight parking. Please note that in Anne Arundel County a "cartop" boat refers to a canoe or kayak, although a boat that can be carried on or in a passenger vehicle that can be transported by hand to the water may qualify as a cartop boat. None of the County's cartop boat launch sites has a ramp for trailered boats. |
